12th of May, 2009. Tuesday. Physics Paper 3 and History Paper 2.
NOT IMPORTANT.
Because. The 12th of May, 2009, is also known as
THE DAY I SPOKE TO DAVID FREAKING COOK.
Yes, I actually did speak to him.
No, not in my dreams.
Yes, I actually saw his face.
Yes, he knows my name.
However, if he actually remembers my name and what I look like is a completely different story, which I will never know, unless I see him in person.
Okay, now you ask. HOW? Right? I know you're asking how. Unless I already told you.
So. The thing is, last year, when David's album was going to be released, I met up with a bunch of Word Nerds whom I befriended through HOTWN and Dave's official site. They'd met with some of the people from Sony BMG to propose a listening party for the album release, but well, we weren't very coordinated, so that idea got scrapped. Anyway, at the time, we were talking about creating a Malaysian Word Nerd site, something like the one Archuleta Avenue has. We tossed a few ideas about, but we never quite got round to actually setting the site up. It was a great one hour+ spent in Starbucks, though.
Then, Phui San told us about the National Cancer Society of Malaysia's Relay for Life, which I will be going for, at the end of this month. We met up again, and decided that we'd go for it in David's name, just as he had gone for the Race for Hope DC on the 3rd of May this year, a day after his brother's passing and during which he announced the news of it. Phui San decided to e-mail the Sony people about our participation in it, and somewhere in the exchange of e-mails between her and Dawn, one of the people who work there, Dawn sent her an e-mail regarding a video conference Sony was planning on arranging with David.
Obviously we all jumped at the chance. Dawn mentioned that we could get about 10 people in for the conference. Since our little group sort of expanded (4 people to 8, lol) , it was perfect. But then there was the contest in the News Straight Times (dated 3rd May) and we weren't sure if we had to enter or we had a lockdown on spots. So when we found out that it was gonna be us+winners, you can imagine there was an epic flailing going on in our Facebook thread.
So. Here's the whole conference, at our new Malaysian Word Nerds site, that has finally gone up and running!

Okay, that's all folks!
The pairing of Neal Tiemann and Kyle Peek.
The subject manner of this pairing is entirely up to your imagination. :D
But Peekmann is totally my OTP, okay, I'm not even kidding.
Look at the picture. Neal is so saying "Look at my boyfriend", I swear.
Mavid will achieve total world domination.
One country at a time, one day at a time.
And I will bask in all it's Mavid-like glory.
MAVID, FTW!
It's proven.
You just cant stop the Mavid, however much you try.
TPTB did. And failed. :D
Mavid had a little dance
They did at every show.
It changed a little every time,
And the fans loved it so.
The Powers That Be said it must stop,
The fans were very mad.
They protested both night and day,
No Mavid made them sad.
"What makes the fans love Mavid so?"
TPTB did cry.
"Because we love our fans, you know!"
Mavid did reply.
The fans did win that battle,
With help from MJ and David.
The dance is back to noisy cries
of "Please Don't Stop the Mavid!"
